NGO constructs 5 boreholes for communities in Bekwai Municipality
A Non-Governmental Organisation, Wells Investment Company, a Saudi Arabian based charity, has constructed five boreholes in a number of communities at Bekwai Municipality in the Ashanti Region to provide access to clean water.
Some of the beneficiary communities include Pekyi, Traboum, Kokobeng, Fideyem and Nkranie, among others.
The country manager of the NGO Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Baafi, announced this when he provided a portable water facility to the Pekyi community.
The construction of the five boreholes worth about five thousand US dollars ($5,000), as part the NGO’s social intervention project to help ease the increase water crises in rural communities in Ghana.
The beneficiary of the communities, expressed gratitude to the management of the organisation for assisting the community to solve its water challenges.
Wells Investment Company has been providing access to portable water in rural and urban communities in Ghana for about 10 years.
