Monday declared public holiday
Monday, 23 September 2019 has been declared a public holiday.
This was disclosed in a statement issued and signed by the Minister for the Interior, Mr Ambrose Dery on Wednesday, 18 September.
According to the statement, “Saturday, 21 September 2019 which marks Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, is a statutory public holiday.”
However, since 21 September falls on a Saturday, by Executive Instrument (E.I), the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has “declared Monday, 23 September 2019 as an Additional Public Holiday to be observed as Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day throughout the country.”
