Is Social Democracy expensive?
As the National Democratic Congress gears up to elect its flagbearer to lead the party and contest for presidency.
There have been this hullaballoo concerning its filling fee with some of aspirants lamenting that the filling fee is too expensive which comes as a surprise to me.
If I may ask, before all this lamenting aspirants started nursing the ambition to contest such a position did they count the cost ? considering the fact that their party is in opposition trying to come back to power?
My fear is as an aspirant if you are not able to raise such sum for your filling fee what funds will you use for your campaign ?
Apart from the dues party faithfuls pay what is another source of funding for the National Democratic Congress ?
The newly elected executives am sure took this factors into consideration before arriving at such a cost but it appears to me some of the aspirants do not seem ready hence the lamenting and running to the founder with others threatening court action .
As an observer I feel disappointed in that if as an aspirant with your party in opposition seeking to come to power you cannot take this bold step then you are not ready for starters.
I believe to contest for presidency is no joke for aspirants of such caliber to be lamenting over GHs 420,000.
