Ghana’s Vice president and Chief Imam celebrate Prophet Mohammed’s birthday
Ghana’s Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has
called on Ghanaians to live in harmony regardless of the differences in
religious beliefs.
He said the citizenry must continue to live in
the “beautiful spirit of friendship, peace and unity so that we further
strengthen the existing bond to achieving a common development goal for Ghana.”
Dr Bawumia made the comment at the 7th Annual
Maulid celebration to mark the birth of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) in Walewale on
Sunday, 31 March 2019.
Present at the celebration was the National
Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu.
Dr Bawumia further reiterated President Nana
Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s resolve to fulfill his promises to Ghanaians, “and in
achieving that no region will be left out. Each area will continue to have its
fair share of growth and development.”
