Media reports in the past few weeks have suggested the school was in crisis and facing imminent closure.
Issues cited included the unavailability of light, water, and furniture in lecture halls.
Speaking on the issue, President of the University Professor Bill Puplampu said although the school was experiencing difficulties it was far from collapsing.
He stated that, in an inaugural lecture at the University of Ghana two years ago, he made it clear that institutions that go down face government challenges, technology challenges and institutional challenges.
He, however, made it clear that the Central University is not facing any of these challenges.
