Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to address UN Assembly on Sept 13
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been invited
by the United Nations (UN) to address the General Assembly on Culture of Peace
at the United States of America.
The speech will be delivered at the United
Nations’ General Assembly High-Level Forum of the 25th Anniversary of the
Adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace.
The Asantehene will be delivering a speech on
his ability to use traditional methods and culture that has brought peace to the
Ashanti region and Ghana as a whole.
The address will be delivered on 13 September
2019.
Otumfuo is expected to leave the royal palace
for the programme soon.
Otumfuo made this known at the Asanteman
Traditional Council meeting held on Monday, 19 August 2019 at the Manhyia
Palace through his chief linguist, Nana Nsuase Poku Agyeman III.
