Min extols prospects of the Planting for export and rural development program

At the ongoing Ghana-European Union business forum being held at the Movenpick Ambassador hotel in Accra , Ghana’s trade minister Hon Allan Kyeremanteng disclosed that, apart from the currently ongoing planting for food and job program ,Ghana has also entered the planting for export and rural development program .

This program the minister explained is aimed at making Ghana export  more commodities to other markets in this regard, some agricultural produces on the bill of this program include Cashew ,shea nut ,rubber and cotton to inch Ghana’s competitiveness in the export industry as well .

This and other measures he mentioned at the Ghana-European union business summit is to make Ghana competitive in terms of trade .

The Ghana EU business forum a two day event  which started today 13^th June 2019 and ends on 14^th June 2019 is themed ‘’ boosting investment for sustainable development in Ghana ‘’ The annual forum is aimed at bringing Ghanaian and European entrepreneurs together for investment opportunities, to boost their  innovative financing solutions  and the creation of sustainable jobs in Ghana.

Some key speakers for this forum include Ghana’s Vice President H .E Dr Mahamudu Bawumia , Jyrki Katainen vice president of the European commission and commissioner for jobs ,growth ,investment and competitiveness , Ghana’s Finance Minister Hon Ken Ofori-Atta  and H E Diana Acconcia EU ambassador to Ghana.
