Retract defamatory claims or meet me in court – Mubarick Masawudu to NDC Asawase Chairman

A leading member of the National Democratic Congress NDC in Asawase constituency, Mubarick Masawudu together with 5 other members, have given the incumbent NDC constituency chairman of Asawase Alhaji Musah Abubakar a three-day ultimatum to retract and apologize for his defamatory comment leveled against them.

The incumbent NDC constituency chairman of Asawase Alhaji Musah Abubakari in a meeting with some party faithful on Thursday, May 31, 2018 is alleged to have made claims describing Masawudu Mubarick, Sumaila Ibrahim, Issah Dango, Nafiu Ibrahim, Mohammed Mustapha, and Abdul Rahman Fudail as a moles for the governing NPP party within the NDC party and that they surrogate for the rurling New Patriotic Party (NPP) regional chairman Wuntumi who was sponsoring them amongst some other persons in the constituency with 10 motorbikes and loads of cash to unsettle the NDC in the constituency.

Mubarick Masawud’s lawyer described the chairman’s allegations as “palpable false “and is, therefore, demanding a retraction within three days via the same medium and a publication in the national dallies or face the law.

The lawyer also stated that “they have further instructions to proceed to the law courts to restore my client’s reputations should you fail to retract and apologies within three days”
